FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME CAST AND CREATIVES

	ANDREW BANCROFT (Jelly Donut) is a writer and performer in New York. He made his Broadway debut with Freestyle Love Supreme in 2019. Bancroft is a co-founder of FLS Academy and a member of the band Moondrunk. As rapper Jelly Donut, he has been featured in MTV’s “TRL,” Rolling Stone and Time. Bancroft writes musicals and is an award-winning ad writer/creative director. He loves whales. He is grateful to FLS, his family and his friends for their love and support. IG: @mcjellyd.
	RICHARD BASKIN JR.  (Rich Midway) is a pianist, vocalist, songwriter and actor. Favorite pastimes include exploring food, languages and cultures! He has worked with world-renowned artists, including Bobby McFerrin, George Benson, Ben Folds and Kurt Elling. Freestyle Love Supreme was his first Broadway show and he is elated to be on tour with FLS.

	MARK MARTIN (Mandible). New York City-based artist, educator, speaker, and musician Mark Martin is best known for playfully blurring the lines between language and sound through his energetic and dynamic blend of beatboxing and theater. Winner of the 2016 American Beatbox Championships and the 2016 International Beatrhyme Battle, Mark has battled in and judged many international beatbox battles, including the World Beatbox Championships and the Grand Beatbox Battle. 	KAILA MULLADY (Kaiser Rözé) is the 2015 and 2018 world beatbox champion. She travels the world incorporating singing, beatboxing and theater to push the boundaries of storytelling and show just what the human instrument is capable of. She is passionate about teaching others how to beatbox through her Beatbox Education Platform, The Academy of Noise.
	MORGAN REILLY (Hummingbird) is thrilled to be joining the FLS family! A singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Allentown, Pa., her original music can be found on all streaming platforms. 	DIZZY SENZE (Dizzy) is a lyrical assassin and multimedia artist. Hailing from The Bronx, Dizzy is no stranger to the constant need for expression. She has engineered for powerhouse corporations (Nickelodeon, Interscope Records, etc.), photographed top-tier artists and companies (KRS-One, Sesame Street, etc.) and shared the stage with legendary artists (Kendrick Lamar, Talib Kweli, etc.). FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME 

is a stage show where MCs, musicians and beatboxers take the audience on a completely improvised musical ride, all based off of audience suggestions. FLS has performed on stages from Cape Town to Melbourne to Edinburgh to NYC and practically everywhere in between. They are the recipient of a special 2020 Tony Award and the subject of the Hulu documentary “We Are Freestyle Love Supreme.”

was created by members of Broadway’s hit show Freestyle Love Supreme in 2018 to foster an inclusive community of diverse, creative voices. FLS Academy teaches improv, beatboxing and freestyle rap, with a focus on supportive teamwork and telling your story! Learn more at

barry edelstein (Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director) is a stage director, producer, author, and educator. He has directed nearly half of the Bard’s plays. His Globe directing credits include The Winter’s Tale, Othello, The Twenty-seventh Man, the world premiere of Rain, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Hamlet, and the world premiere of The Wanderers. He also directed All’s Well That Ends Well as the inaugural production of the Globe for All community tour. In January he oversaw the Globe’s inaugural Classical Directing Fellowship program. He recently directed The Tempest with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Walt Disney Concert Hall. As Director of the Shakespeare Initiative at The Public Theater (2008–2012), Edelstein oversaw all of the company’s Shakespearean productions as well as its educational, community outreach, and artist-training programs. At The Public, he staged the world premiere of The Twenty-seventh Man, Julius Caesar, The Merchant of Venice, Timon of Athens, and Steve Martin’s WASP and Other Plays. He was also Associate Producer of The Public’s Broadway production of The Merchant of Venice starring Al Pacino. From 1998 to 2003 he was Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company. His book Thinking Shakespeare, which was rereleased in a second edition in June, is the standard text on American Shakespearean acting. He is also the author of Bardisms: Shakespeare for All Occasions. He is a graduate of Tufts University and the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.

Timothy j. Shields (Audrey S. Geisel Managing Director) joined The Old Globe as Managing Director in 2017. In his time in San Diego, he has enjoyed becoming involved in the community. He currently serves as a board member of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s LEAD program; an advisory board member of the San Diego Downtown Partnership; and Vice President of the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership. He brings to San Diego many decades of not-for-profit theatre experience. He was Managing Director of Princeton, New Jersey’s McCarter Theatre Center (2009-2017); Milwaukee Repertory Theater (1998–2009); and Geva Theatre Center in Rochester, New York (1992–1998). He has also held administrative positions at Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, Denver Center Theatre Company, and McCarter Theatre Center in an earlier period of his career. He served as President of the League of Resident Theatres and as Vice President of the board at Theatre Communications Group. He has been the Chair of the ArtPride NJ board; a member of Milwaukee’s Latino Arts Board; and a board member of the Cultural Alliance of Greater Milwaukee. He holds a B.F.A. in Drama Production from Carnegie-Mellon University in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
